what if...healing was possible

WHAT HEALING LOOKS LIKE

for you as an individual...

I know that the title "Marriage and Family Therapist" can sometimes be a bit misleading, especially if you’re seeking help for yourself. While I do have specialized training in working with couples, I’ve also focused on expanding my expertise to support individuals in their unique journeys. I understand that the experiences you have in relationships—whether with family, friends, or colleagues—are just as important as the work we do together in this office. In my practice, I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), but what that really boils down to is this: I meet you where you are and help you recenter so that you can reconnect with your true self.

for your relationships...

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I view the world in systems. That means when you and your partner step into my office, I understand that many other people and many other influences are joining us in the room as well. Utilizing my Gottman Couples Counseling training, we will work together to build a solid relationship map, identifying destructive patterns of communication and replacing them with communication that works for your unique relationship! This includes strengthening your emotional bond, identifying healthy conflict resolution, and creating shared goals and dreams.

for you as a parent...

The famous comedian, Jim Gaffigan, said it best, "“You know what it’s like having a fourth kid? Imagine you’re drowning, then someone hands you a baby.” Having children is no small feat! Raising them to be solid, well-adjusted humans in a world that can be so challenging is difficult to say the least. You deserve support! While therapy with babies isn't exactly like therapy with adults, there are so many things we can do to help make the transition smoother. From the challenges of pregnancy and childbirth to the postpartum period, we will work together to address issues such as prenatal anxiety, postpartum depression, relationship changes, and the transition to parenthood.
